Material and technical support of the educational institution

  • The management of the Academy’s activities and organizational structure is carried out on the principles of autonomy, self-governance, and democratic decision-making. The material and technical base of the Academy includes eight academic buildings. The institution has operational control over classrooms, premises for academic staff, computer laboratories, service facilities, and libraries. Each building is equipped with parking spaces and is also fitted with special facilities for persons with disabilities and individuals with reduced mobility.

    The Academy’s educational premises and classrooms ensure the implementation of the educational process using modern approaches and teaching technologies. Classes at the departments are organized using innovative methods in classrooms equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. Departments are supported by computer labs and laboratories furnished with modern computing and office equipment.

    Students have access to local computer networks and the Internet. Classrooms are equipped with multimedia tools and computer technology, facilitating effective teaching in accordance with European standards of educational quality. Lecture halls, seminar rooms, and student workspaces are equipped with all necessary equipment that complies with current technical operation standards.

     

    Premises for academic staff are provided with the necessary conditions for effective professional activity. Computing equipment, office machinery, and other electronic devices are under the Academy’s operational use and meet technical operation requirements. Software used on computers is licensed and regularly updated.

    The Academy provides appropriate conditions to meet educational and professional needs, ensure continuous development, and enhance the qualifications of academic staff.

     

    Library. The Academy has a library that provides broad access to educational, scientific, and reference literature. Its collection includes a significant and diverse range of publications covering various fields of knowledge and aligned with the institution’s educational programs. Users can select the necessary materials for both study and research. The library also creates comfortable conditions for independent work, contributing to the improvement of the quality of education and scientific research.

    Laboratories and seminar classrooms are equipped in accordance with modern requirements and ensure high-quality organization of the educational process. The institution provides students and academic staff with access to laboratories featuring updated equipment and necessary laboratory inventory. Seminar classes involve studying part of the educational material using methodological approaches oriented toward practical activity. For this purpose, the Academy organizes seminars at private laboratories equipped with modern material and technical facilities.

    Shelter. The Academy provides a shelter, which is especially important under current challenges. It is designed to ensure the safety of students, academic staff, and personnel during emergencies. The shelter is properly equipped with necessary facilities and includes organized spaces for continuing the educational process. This ensures continuity of learning and allows for a prompt response to potential threats.

    Museum Hall. The Academy features a museum hall dedicated to marine topics, presenting a large and diverse collection of marine exhibits. In particular, the hall contains numerous types of shells, corals, and other marine organisms. Additionally, the museum includes taxidermy specimens of various animals, allowing visitors to explore not only marine fauna but also representatives of terrestrial and aquatic life. The collection provides opportunities for practical study of biology and ecology and is used in both educational and research processes. The hall is equipped with demonstration and teaching materials that enhance the effective use of exhibits for educational purposes.

    The Academy’s cafeteria and buffet provide comfortable dining options for students, academic staff, and employees. The cafeteria is equipped with modern furniture and kitchen appliances, enabling the preparation of a variety of hot meals and balanced meal sets. The space is organized to serve a large number of visitors simultaneously, with seating areas ensuring comfort during meals. The buffet offers quick snacks, beverages, pastries, and other products for convenient dining between classes. Its equipment complies with modern sanitary and hygiene standards, ensuring fast and safe service.     Gym. The Academy’s gym is equipped with modern facilities and features a large, spacious hall suitable for various sports activities. The gym provides comfortable conditions for physical activity, promotes teamwork, supports a healthy lifestyle, and enhances physical fitness.

    Medical Unit. The Academy’s medical unit provides first aid and supports the health of students, academic staff, and personnel. It is equipped with necessary medical supplies, reliable diagnostic instruments, and basic medical equipment. Immediate assistance is available for injuries, minor illnesses, and emergency conditions, as well as consultations on prevention and health maintenance. In addition, the Academy has its own ambulance vehicle, enabling rapid response to any medical situation and ensuring additional safety for all participants in the educational process. The medical unit and ambulance operate in accordance with sanitary and hygiene standards, contributing to the safe and uninterrupted functioning of the Academy.

    Drinking Water Station. The Academy has its own drinking water station supplied from a borehole, providing clean and safe water for the educational process, household needs, and maintaining proper living conditions for students and staff. The availability of an independent water supply source ensures the autonomy and uninterrupted water provision of the Academy.
