Hair transplant

Hair transplantation allows men and women to get rid of baldness and restore natural hair growth and thickness. This is a minimally invasive surgical procedure, during which hair follicles are transplanted from an area of active growth to a place of baldness. It is used to restore hair on the head, in the area of eyelashes, eyebrows, beard and sideburns.

  • Our courses are run exclusively for trainee doctors, which means you will not be sharing your working hours with other trainee doctors, ensuring maximum hours for hands-on training in live surgery with a variety of cases booked exclusively for your course with volunteer patients , who agree to have a trainee doctor participate in their operations.

Upon completion of the program, students will have enough experience to start their own hair transplant practice. With outstanding experience, hands-on training and extensive support from the Chief Surgeon himself, students can be confident in their future work and success.

History and interesting facts

The hair transplant profession dates back to the early 20th century, when surgeons began experimenting with hair restoration techniques for patients suffering from baldness. The first attempts at hair transplantation were quite simple and often did not give long-term results. However, in the 1950s, Dr. Norman Orentreich developed a method of hair transplantation that became the basis for modern techniques. This breakthrough made it possible to create a more natural look and opened up new possibilities in the treatment of baldness.

Interesting facts:

First transplant: The first officially documented hair transplant was performed in 1952 by Dr. Norman Orentreich.

Follicular units: Modern grafting techniques use individual follicular units, allowing for a more natural appearance compared to earlier techniques where larger pieces of skin were transplanted with hair.

Painless procedure: Today, hair transplantation is a minimally invasive procedure performed under local anesthesia. This makes the process comfortable for the patient.

Long-lasting effect: Transplanted hair is permanent because follicles transplanted to balding areas retain their properties and are not affected by hormones that cause baldness.

Different areas of application: Hair transplantation is used not only on the head, but also to restore the beard, eyebrows, as well as other parts of the body.

Celebrity Popularity: Many famous people have turned to hair transplants to restore their hair density and maintain their image.

Innovative technologies: New methods, such as FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction), allow procedures without visible scars and with a shorter recovery period.
